Got another 16 miles in after leaving VVR on the morning ferry. Was in a bit of a grumpy mood since there were some hooligans up too late being loud at the resort – didn’t fall asleep until 11:30ish which out here is unheard of.
I also got rained on again for the last hour and a half of my hiking today. I’m getting a little tired of it, like the Sierras are gorgeous but rain really harshes my mellow. It could be a lot worse, could be on the AT where it rains all the time! And I have adequate rain gear, I would be far less wet if I isn’t insisting on hiking while it is actively raining. Gotta get those miles in! Really hoping all my wet clothing dries off by tomorrow morning – if not, I may just jump in the lake I’m camping by, which was surprisingly warm when I collected water before setting up camp.
